INTRODUCTION
This course is to prepare student for Diploma in Hospitality Management certification from Lincoln School of Management.
OBJECTIVES
The programme is tailored for students who wish to pursue their higher diploma and bachelor degree in hotel management related programmes. Those without advanced diploma but wish to pursue junior level/ business positions in the area of management and operations in hospitality industry will also find this programme useful.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Passes in five approved subjects in the GCE 'A' level examination
- Diploma holders from other institutions / professional bodies will be assessed on case by case basis
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

The Diploma in Hospitality Management is a 11 months classroom base learning programme in Mandarin and English . Student is required to complete 5 core modules and a compulsory 3 elective modules offered. As a hospitality management major, students will examine issues and problems that are challenging the industry. In their classes, they will learn about dining room service and management; food preparation and sanitation; hospitality cost controls, hotel operations and nutrition. In addition, they will complete hospitality business courses in accounting, finance, human resources, management and marketing. The students will receive hands-on, specialized learning by going on site visits to Clubs, Hotels and Restaurants. The aim of such circuit is for the students to see and have hands on experience managing a dining room, a commercial kitchen; learn food production and presentation techniques. The students will also gain insight into the industry through field trips to places such as the Four Seasons Hotel, the Marina Mandarin, Raffles Country Club, Pan Pacific Hotel, etc. On completion students are awarded Diploma in Hospitality Management.
